PV community takes to Twitter using #PeaceinPV
Numerous PV students and faculty members took to Twitter both today and yesterday to voice their opinions on the Human Rights League’s Open Letter to the PV community, emails sent out by students, an assembly held by principal Mr. Tom DeMaio, and the white supremacy issues in PV as a whole. The hashtag #PeaceinPV was used to support the cause spoken about in the article. PV students and faculty used Twitter to share their reactions on the school climate:
#PeaceinPV starts when you realize that your experience in life/school cannot be assumed as the norm. Empathy starts w this understanding.

Racism, hatred & intolerance in any way is not cool nor is it funny. When you stand by in silence you are passively supporting it #PeaceinPV

We are "Valley Tough" for a reason. So if you hear something, say something. It's a lot "tougher" to speak up than to be ignorant #PeaceInPV

#PeaceInPV because I refuse to be in a school environment where people feel oppressed, attacked, or discriminated against.

#PeaceinPV I am Hispanic, I am Gay, I am proud to be who I am, and I am proud to be different. Every student should feel safe in school.
