WeCrave: a fast lunch option
Looking for a new lunch spot? Why not try WeCrave?
WeCrave is located in Hillsdale in the plaza across from Sports Expert. With a menu ranging from standard pizza to the TikTok famous Kool-Aid pickles, WeCrave has a variety of different items to choose from.
The WeCrave location was formerly Ray’s Pizza. WeCrave has maintained the interior design from Ray’s.
With 40 different specialty pizzas to select from, this new restaurant makes it difficult to pick which one to try. We settled on the Penne Vodka Pizza and the Grandma Pizza.
The Penne Vodka slice of pizza was good. When first served, the cheese was very pullable, and the pasta on it was cooked well. It did, however, get cold pretty quickly.
The Grandma slice (thin rectangular pizza) was tasty. We enjoyed it but wouldn’t order it again because it didn’t have a ton of flavor. Instead, we would reorder the calzone.
The plain calzone was by far the best item we tried at WeCrave. The ricotta cheese was soft and delicious; the fresh dough was the perfect texture and cut easily. While the calzone was impeccable, the sauce with the calzone was average. We recommend eating the calzone by itself to enjoy the creamy ricotta cheese.
The TikTok famous Kool-Aid pickles are available at WeCrave. The pickles appeared to be fruit punch and grape flavored. They don’t taste that different from your average pickle, so, if you’re a picky eater, they shouldn’t be a challenge to eat. They had that sour/salty pickle flavor with a little sweetness in every bite. The pink and purple coloring of the pickle does add to the novelty.
Service is fast, so for any Pascack Valley seniors looking for somewhere quick to go for lunch, WeCrave is perfect. Within five minutes of ordering, our food was delivered.
Overall, WeCrave was a nice pizza place to try. It wouldn’t make our Top 10 list for pizza places, but it is near the school and quick for any students looking for a fast lunch.
