Key senior’s return sparks tennis victory

Zlotolow loses but yet wins

The PV boys tennis team has suffered many tough losses this season. Younger, inexperienced players have been forced to play up throughout the whole season due to Roger Zlotolow’s absence.

But now he is back.

In Zlotolow’s first match back with the team, PV won a pivotal match against Dwight Morrow on Tuesday. The team won 4-1, with Zlotolow being the team’s only loss.

Although some might blame him for blowing the team’s chances at a shutout, Zlotolow should be praised for his team’s victory. With his return, Zlotolow’s teammates were able to return to their normal playing positions, which allow them to win their respective matches.

Josh Kasper who has recently being playing first singles was able to return to second singles. The players Kasper plays at second singles are much more similar to his skill level and give him a much better chance to win games.

Although Zlotolow’s return pushed Kasper back to his normal position, Alex Robinson and the doubles players will continue to have to play up. Austin Davis who would have moved from second to third singles is now out for the season due to an injury.

Although the Davis injury is obviously a big loss, the team will look to continue their winning ways with Zlotolow at the lead and Kasper back at his normal position.
