Craig Yaremko is a music teacher and the band director at Pascack Valley High School. He created a holiday tradition of hand-making pork ravioli with his family.
“My family actually never had traditions around holiday cooking, so I started my own after hearing so many talk about making pasta for Christmas,” said Yaremko. “America’s Test Kitchen is an excellent resource to learn recipes and improve your skills. This recipe is easy to make and the pork filling is delicious and really filling. I usually make a double batch to have reserves in the freezer.”
Even though Yaremko started the tradition of making pork ravioli with his family, it was his grandmother who fostered his passion for cooking.
“My Italian grandmother, who passed in December 2018 just before Christmas, instilled a love of cooking, and specifically cooking for family,” said Yaremko. “She taught me the Sunday Gravy (pasta and meatballs, not a holiday recipe), which is still my favorite to make for my family and friends.”
