Dinner and a show

While on their way to dinner attending a convention in Indianapolis, Smoke Signal editors stumble upon an anti-Trump protest

Last saturday, The Smoke Signal’s editors, sophomores Kayla Barry and Madison Gallo, were in Indianapolis, Indiana for the JEA/NSPA Fall Conference of high school journalism. Around 6 p.m., on their way to dinner, they came across a Donald Trump protest in front of the Indiana Statehouse where Mike Pence, Vice President-elect, works as governor of Indiana.  By the end of the night, seven protesters were arrested and there were physical conflicts between the police and protesters.
