Coach Jeff Jasper strategizes with his team.

As a part of Saturday’s Julia Anne Kirsch Foundation benefit games at Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA), PV’s girls basketball team will take on Wayne Valley at 9:30 a.m.

PV’s game will be the first game to tip off, as it looks to defeat Wayne Valley in one of five games that will be played at IHA on Saturday.

Currently sitting at a record of 7-4, coach Jeff Jasper indicates that the team is a “work-in-progress.”

“[The team has] come a long way since we started around Thanksgiving,” Jasper said. “I know a lot of coaches say this, but we really do get better every day.”

Pascack Valley’s winning record is no fluke, as its schedule presents a new challenge to the team every time it takes the court.

“We duck nobody,” Jasper said. “We have a demandingly tough schedule. Every team we’ve played is ranked top 15 in North Jersey.”

Wayne Valley, coming off of a 47-41 win on Tuesday against its rival, Wayne Hills, will serve as PV’s next challenge.
