Monday 10/11:

Boys Soccer Bergen Cup Game vs. Ridgewood | Valley 1 -Ridgewood 0

  • The varsity boys soccer team played Ridgewood in the Bergen Cup semi-finals on Monday in Ridgewood. Valley came into the game as the 5th seed in the tournament facing the mighty 1 seeded Ridgewood. After a hard fought first half with no goals scored, Nicholas Bonanos broke the deadlock in the second half off of a Shane Feder assist. With this win, Valley advanced to the finals where they would play Glen Rock to compete for the Bergen County Cup.

Tuesday 10/26

Volleyball vs Pascack Hills | Valley 2 – Hills 0

  • The Volleyball team defeated Pascack Hills in Valley’s “Dig Pink” game in two sets. Both sets were close and ended in the same score of 25-23. Noelle Solimano led the team in kills with 6 and Nicole Buckley followed with 5 kills. Dara Viganola led the team in aces with 2 while Sabrina Arcilla had a team-high 12 digs.

Wednesday 10/27

Boys Soccer vs Bergenfield | Valley 4 – Bergenfield 1

  • The Boys Soccer team played Bergenfield in a league game. This was the Boys Soccer team’s “Senior Night”, so Valley started the game with an all senior starting lineup. Valley went down early with a goal from Souleymane Fall however Valley fought back with 4 unanswered goals. Nicholas Bonanos scored the tying goal in the first half and then the go-ahead goal in the second half which was followed by a Shane Feder goal and an Aidan Haller goal.

Volleyball vs Teaneck | Valley 2 – Teaneck 0

  • The volleyball team played Teaneck on their Senior day. To honor the seniors, the volleyball team started the game with an all senior lineup. Valley was able to control the game, winning in both sets. Valley’s defense was stellar, holding Teaneck to only 12 points in each set. Kayleigh Higgins highlighted the defensive performance in Valley’s win over Teaneck.

Girls Soccer vs Bergenfield | Valley 3 –  Bergenfield 0

  • Goals scored by Isabella Forcellati, Gabriella Montopoli, and Julia Conjour lead Valley to a big win over Bergenfield.

Thursday 10/28

Girls Soccer vs. Glen Rock | Valley 2 – Glen Rock 0

  • Conjour pulls through yet again as she scores both goals against Glen Rock giving Valley momentum going into their state tournament game on Tuesday, November 2 at 2 p.m.

Volleyball vs West Milford | Valley 2 – West Milford 0

  • The Volleyball team played West Milford in the first round of their state tournament. Valley won the first set big, 25-7. Valley came into the game as the 6th seed while West Milford was the 11th seed. In the second set, West Milford came back much stronger and challenged Valley. Valley ended up winning the second set 25-17 wrapping up the match.  Valley’s crowd presence was felt throughout the entire game which helped propel the team to their win. Valley advanced to the next round of the state tournament where they will play 3rd seeded Old Tappan.

Friday 10/29

Football vs. Ramsey

  • On Friday night, Valley took on a 9-0 Ramsey team during rainy, windy, and cold weather conditions in Ramsey. Nick Messina scored the first touchdown of the game which was quickly followed by a 72-yard touchdown by Ramsey scored by Joseph Hunt. A defensive battle ensued as each team made key defensive plays. This includes a fumble recovery by Brandon Flanagan for Valley on Valley’s 4-yard line. Valley’s offense was highlighted by Nick Messina who finished with 99 yards and 1 touchdown. The score stayed tied until the 4th quarter, when Ramsey took off, scoring 2 straight touchdowns leading to Ramsey’s first undefeated season since 1982. Valley will hope to start their playoff run next Friday against Montiville in the first round of the North 2, Group 3 playoffs.

Saturday 10/30

Boys Soccer Bergen Cup Final vs Glen Rock | Valley 2 – Glen Rock 0

  • After defeating Ridgewood in the semifinals of the Bergen Cup, Valley moved on to the finals where they would play Glen Rock. Coming into the game, Glen Rock was 10-8-2 while PV was 12-3-3. Preston So led the way to Valley’s win, scoring the first goal in the first half and then assisting Max Van Gyzen for the second goal to finish the game for Valley. Luke Stephan pitched a shutout in Valley’s championship win as well. Valley plays Garfield in the first round of the state tournament this Monday.

Girls Soccer vs Teaneck | Valley 3- Teaneck 1

  • The Pascack Valley girls soccer team faced Teaneck on Saturday morning and defeated them convincingly with a score of 3-1. Celina Bussanich scored a header to put Valley up first, however an equalizing goal from Teaneck followed, scored by Maya Ibrahim. Valley retaliated, scoring two unanswered goals to win the game, including one from Julia Conjour. Valley will play Elmwood Park on Tuesday in the first round of the state tournament.
