Pascack Valley girls soccer took down Old Tappan by virtue of freshman Amanda Polyniak’s game-winner in double overtime Tuesday night.

It seemed as if neither Pascack Valley nor Old Tappan could get past the opposing defense, as it took until double overtime for freshman Amanda Polyniak to register the first goal of the game – a game winner to give PV the 1-0 victory at home Tuesday night.

Nearly two hours after gametime, the game entered double overtime – still scoreless.

Neither team struck in the first half; little did they know how long this standoff would last.

Opportunities came and went for Valley and OT alike, yet neither team could capitalize early on.
