Pascack Hockey took down Fair Lawn (5-4-1) on Monday to start the week. Four of Pascack’s five goals came in the first period, with an empty-net goal from Jack Sheehan (Sr.) in the third— his second goal of the game. Owen Dargan (Sr.) also scored twice in the win.

Boys Basketball vs. Bergenfield | Win, 63-52
Boys basketball defeated Bergenfield thanks to 26 points from Liam Higgins (Sr.) and 19 from Dante DaCosta (Sr.). The victory marked PV’s second back-to-back win streak this season.
Girls Basketball in Bergenfield | Win, 50-16
Girls basketball extended its win streak to three games with a 34-point win over Bergenfield. Keira O’Cathain (So.) led the team with 11 points in the win. Sawyer LaMere (Fr.) and Raina Gibbs (Jr.) added 9 and 8 points, respectively.
Boys Swimming vs. Ridgewood | Loss, 126-40
Boys swimming fell to then-undefeated Ridgewood on Tuesday. While the team came up short in most races, Nathan Jeong (Sr.) won the 100-yard backstroke race in under a minute. Valley swimmers also came in second place in four other events.
Girls Swimming vs. Ridgewood | Win, 92-78
Girls swimming defeated Ridgewood, improving its already-winning record to 6-2. Amanda Bramley (Sr.) and Phoebe Garretson (Jr.) each won in four events to lead the team.

Boys Basketball vs. Don Bosco | Loss, 67-23
Boys basketball could not string together a win against Don Bosco, whose record improved to 5-8 with the victory.
Boys Bowling at Clifton | Win, 7-0
The Boys Bowling Team continued its dominant season, improving its record to 8-0. Lucas Mercado (Jr.) bowled a 244 as PV swept all matches.
Boys Wrestling at Old Tappan | Win, 54-25
Boys wrestling continued its undefeated season, moving to 11-0 with a win over rival Old Tappan. PV won nine of 14 matches, including a pin in just 16 seconds by Alex Bainbridge (Sr.).
Girls Wrestling at Demarest | Win, 21-6
The PV Girls Wrestling Team won in its second game of the season, remaining undefeated, in its second season as a team. Lauren Fouche (So.) won both of her matches, including a 45-second pin. Jolie Kim (Jr.) and Itzel Vazquez (Sr.) each picked up wins as well.

Girls Basketball vs. Ridgewood | Loss, 50-31
Girls basketball took just their fourth loss of the season after coming up short to Ridgewood. Raina Gibbs (Jr.) scored 9 points in the loss.
Friday, January 16
Boys Basketball at West Milford | Win, 65-57
Boys basketball bounced back after its previous loss with a win over West Milford. The team moved to 6-7 on the season.
Girls Basketball vs. Rutherford | Win, 34-31
Girls basketball narrowly defeated Rutherford for their eighth win of the season. Keira O’Cathain (So.) scored 11 points in the victory.
Boys Bowling at Teaneck | Win, 7-0
Boys bowling remains undefeated, moving to 9-0 this season, thanks to high-scoring games from Lucas Mercado (Jr.) and Justin Buttikofer (So.). The PV Boys Bowling Team has only dropped two of 61 total points this season.
Girls Bowling at Teaneck | Loss, 7-0
Girls bowling couldn’t string together any wins against Teaneck despite Luli SooHoo (Jr.) bowling a 138, the second-highest between both teams. The team has two matches left this season.
Hockey at River Dell | Loss, 6-4
Pascack Ice Hockey’s three-game winning streak came to an end after a loss to River Dell. Sean Jennings (Jr.) recorded a goal and an assist in the loss. Still, the loss is only the team’s third this season as their record moves to 9-3.

Boys Basketball vs. Mahwah | Win, 59-56
PV Boys Basketball evened its record at 7-7 with a win over Mahwah on Sunday. Dante DaCosta (Sr.) scored 18 points in the win. Eli Tenzer (Sr.) also added 14.
Girls Basketball vs. Leonia | Win, 65-42
PV Girls Basketball defeated Leonia during its annual Zach Latteri Foundation benefit game. Raina Gibbs (Jr.) had a dominant game with 27 points; Emma Costello (Jr.) also played well with 8 points. The team moves to 9-4 heading into the second half of the season.
Boys Wrestling – Bergen County Tournament
Boys wrestling placed third in the 65th annual Bergen County Tournament on Sunday, placing first among public schools. Jacob Inserra (So.) placed first in the 138-pound weight class, and Luke Stempkowski (Jr.) placed first at 157 pounds.
