2/23 Wednesday 

Boys Basketball vs Old Tappan | Valley 54 – Old Tappan 52

The week kicked off with a close matchup between Valley and Old Tappan; Valley was able to claw their way to a win. Jimmy Shea scored the game winning basket on the assist from Christian Vargas. With this win, their record moved to 10-9.

2/24 Thursday 

Girls Basketball vs Demarest | Valley 37 – Demarest 46

The girls basketball team took a trip to face Demarest, where they would face a tough 9-point loss. Valley fell to 13-11 with the loss. Lindsay Jennings led Valley in scoring with 10 points. 

2/25 Friday

Girls Basketball vs Pascack Hills | Valley 53- Hills 23

The girls basketball team faced off against Pascack Hills on Friday afternoon for the Kenny Harrison Benefit Games, where they would get a very dominant 30-point win. Valley was firing on all cylinders as at halftime, they had held Hills to just 5 points. Jules Vassallo led the way with 21 points. 

Boys Basketball vs Pascack Hills | Valley 46 – Hills 71

Friday night, the boys basketball team played against Pascack Hills for their matchup in the Kenny Harrison Benefit Games. The atmosphere in the building was electric as the rival teams went at it. However, in the second half, Hills ran away with the game as Valley lost by 25 points. 

Boys Ice Hockey vs Jackson Liberty | Valley 2 – Jackson Liberty 4

The second round of the state tournament did not go as planned for the boys ice hockey team. They started the game off with two goals in the first period from Tyler Rothstein and Zach Groves. However, they were not able to score the rest of the game, and Jackson Liberty was able to take advantage and win 4-2. This game put an end to the ice hockey season. 

2/26 Saturday

NJSIAA Group Track Meets

The Pascack Valley track and field team sent runners to 3 different events at the NJSIAA state group championship in Toms River on Saturday. Shannon Connolly ran the 55m dash and placed 14th. In addition, Connolly also ran the 400m dash and placed 19th while Isabel Forcellati placed 22nd in that same competition. The girls relay team, which consists of Ellie Buchanan, Juliana Mullaney, Isabel Forcellati and Shannon Connolly also ran and placed 18th. 

2/27 Sunday

Wrestling Region 1 Tournament at West Milford

On Saturday, Noah Martin, Antonio Cedeno, Ray Kohan, Drew Petaccia and Justin Amato all entered the Region 1 Tournament, which occurred at West Milford, in hopes of earning a trip to Atlantic City for the state tournament. Senior Noah Martin and Sophomore Antonio Cedeno were unable to make it to the second day of the tournament. Kohan, Petaccia and Amato all were able to earn their way to a spot in the second day of the tournament. Justin Amato missed out on a trip to Atlantic City by 1 place, placing 6th in the 285 pound weight class. Drew Petaccia and Ray Kohan both earned their spot in the state tournament in their respective weight classes. This is the first time both wrestlers have earned a spot in Atlantic City.
