Monday | Sep. 19

Girls Tennis @ Holy Angels, 5-0 LOSS

Girls Tennis fell to a well-respected Holy Angels team by a score of 0-5.

Tuesday | Sep. 20

Boys Soccer vs. Bergenfield, 4-0 WIN

Boys Soccer shut out Bergenfield, 4-0. The scoring started for Valley around midway through the first half with a goal from Daniel Lin. In the second half, Shade Feder scored two goals, and Adrian Pilet scored one to give Valley some insurance.

Volleyball @ Bergenfield 2-1 WIN

PV Volleyball defeated Bergenfield in three sets, winning the first one 25-13, and the third 25-21.

Wednesday | Sep. 21

Girls Soccer @ Bergenfield, 2-1 WIN

Girls Soccer edged out Bergenfield, 2-1. After going into halftime down 0-1, Julia Conjour and Vanessa Rack scored goals to tie the game and put Valley in front, respectively. 

Girls Tennis vs. Mahwah, 4-1 LOSS

Jordyn Ban was the lone Valley player to win her match in the team’s 1-4 loss to Mahwah. 

Volleyball @ Tenafly, LOSS 2-0

Valley Volleyball lost to undefeated Tenafly, 0-2. Taylor Grady led the team in kills and assists with three and eleven, respectively. Some other notable players from the game include Gianna Bucello, who had seven digs and a kill, and Mia Hachadourian, who had two kills and two blocks.

Thursday | Sep. 22

Boys Soccer @ Tenafly, 2-2 TIE

Shane Feder’s two goals weren’t enough to put Valley over the top as they tied with Tenafly, 2-2. 

Girls Soccer vs. Tenafly, 6-0 WIN

Girls Soccer dominated Tenafly, 6-0, with Julia Conjour and Amanda Polyniak scoring two goals each, and Isabella Russino and Tori Criscuolo scoring one each.

Friday | Sep. 23

Football @ Northern Highlands, 31-6 LOSS

Quinn Flanagan scored Valley’s only touchdown in their 31-6 loss against Northern Highlands. For more information on this game, check out the game story.

Girls Tennis vs. Fort Lee. 4-1 WIN

Alexis Ban, Jordyn Ban, Aimee Hoffman, and Alexa Ganz, & Sophia Loeser all won their matches in two sets in Valley’s rout of Fort Lee. The win moves Girls Tennis to 3-6 on the season and gives them some momentum going into their match against Demarest on Wednesday.

Volleyball @ Paramus, 2-1 LOSS

After winning their first set 25-15, Valley couldn’t finish the job, losing the following two sets 14-25 and 21-25. The loss drops Volleyball to 4-3 on the season, as the team looks to bounce back on Wednesday against Teaneck.

Saturday | Sep. 24

Cross Country | Garret Mountain Invitational

Boys Cross Country took first place out of eighteen teams at the Garret Mountain Invitational. Individually, Michael Pizzella came in third place, Jay Ramirez in fourth, Patrick Kurtz in 18th, Connor Oates in 28th, and Marc Monti in 29th in a field of 125 runners. On the girls side, Ellie Buchanan finished 24th out of 96 runners.

Boys Soccer @ St. Joes, 6-2 WIN

Boys Soccer defeated St. Joes with goals from Steven Gifford, Daniel Lin, Chris Londono, Adrian Pilet, Ethan Schwartz, and Sean Stewart. The win moves Valley to 4-2-1 on the season as they look to continue their winning ways against Teaneck on Wednesday.

Sunday | Sep. 25

Girls Soccer vs. Holy Angels | Preliminary Round, Bergen County Tournament, 2-1 WIN

No. 9 Valley narrowly edged out No. 24 Holy Angels, 2-1, in the preliminary round of the County Tournament. The win moves Girls Soccer to 5-3 on the season, and means that it will play No. 8 Mahwah in the first round of the tournament this Sunday.
