The Pascack Valley varsity, JV, and freshman volleyball teams will be competing in matches against Pascack Hills in the Dig Pink event on Thursday to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

Dig Pink is sponsored by the Side-Out Foundation, which is an association that brings people together for the support of breast cancer and raises funds for further research. These funds go straight to efficient trials at medical facilities to assist in accomplishing letting people with Stage 4 breast cancer continue with their lives.

Varsity player Caitlin Earls, said, “It is a great event each year. This is my fourth time playing in it, but I have watched it for seven years. Pascack Hills is a great team and great competition each year, so it should definitely be a good game. The tournament raises a lot of money from selling t-shirts, raffles, and admission into the game. I am super excited and hope we get a good turnout!”

Anyone attending is asked to wear pink in support of breast cancer.  The freshman and JV matches will start at 4:15 p.m. and the Varsity match will directly follow at 5:15 p.m.

The entry prices are $5 for adults and $2 for students. Donations are greatly appreciated and can be given at the door or at any time on this website.

A limited amount of T-shirts will also be for sale at the door for $17, which includes admission.
