The senior class won the final Valley Cup of the 2025-26 school year on May 22, 2026. The four grades competed in a relay, a dance competition, a wig snatch competition, a pinball tournament, and a hockey tournament.
The Panther Band began the event by performing “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys.
The first activity was the relay, where students from each grade competed in various sections, trying to finish all of them before the other grades. Students had to eat two slices of watermelon, then spin on a bat 10 times, then carry a spoon holding a ball to the half-court, then cartwheel to the end, where the grades finally competed in hacky sack.
The juniors came in first place with the sophomores in second, the freshmen in third, and the seniors in last place.
Next, the grades competed in a dance competition where students from each grade performed a dance judged by our two assistant principals, Alison Petaccia and Thomas Gallione, and the principal, John Puccio.

The seniors won with the juniors close behind. The grades’ scores are as follows…
Seniors: 29.25/30
Junior: 28.5/30
Sophomores: 27.25/30
Freshmen: 24.5/30
Then, two students from each grade competed in a wig snatching contest. Each class had two representatives who needed to grab wigs off the other students’ heads.
The juniors won with both of their students still in the competition.
Next, the grades competed in a pinball tournament, where teams from each grade competed in trying to knock down the other team’s pin while dodging the balls from the other team.
The sophomores won after beating the juniors in the final round.
Finally, the grades competed in a hockey tournament, with teams from each grade.
The juniors beat the freshmen and the seniors beat the sophomores, but there was no time for a finale.
Once the points were totaled up from the events and spirit day points, the seniors were announced as the winners of the last Valley Cup of the year.
After the Valley Cup ended, the class presidents shared their thoughts on the competition.
