Golf: PV defeats Mahwah at Rockleigh Golf Course, 168-190

The PV golf team won its second straight match over Mahwah today, improving the team to 6-10 on the season. Junior Kevin Smith had a breakout round, shooting a 41. Senior leaders Calvin Ralph and Will Gallagher shot 40 and 42 respectively, while Henry Tipping added a round of 45. The team will look to continue piling up victories tomorrow against Hackensack at Edgewood Country Club.

Girls Lacrosse: #1 Ridgewood 19, #8 Pascack Valley 1 at the Academy of the Holy Angels 

The girls lacrosse team’s county championship aspirations came to an end today following a defeat at the hands of the tournament’s top seed, Ridgewood. PV’s lone goal was scored by senior Ana Beyer. The girls will be back in action tomorrow, as the team takes on Old Tappan at Pascack Valley High School.

Softball: Pascack Valley 13, Tenafly 0 at Tenafly High School

PV’s shutout today can be chalked up to great pitching from Julia Spadafino and Cara McMahon. When hitting and pitching meet, lopsided victories seem inevitable for this team. “We were able to adjust our hitting and put it all together,” said seniorAshley Lagrosa. The team will take on Wayne Hills tomorrow at the James Fallon School in Wayne.
