The senior class won the third Valley Cup of the 2025-26 school year on March 13, 2026. The four grades competed in a relay, pizza tag, Hungry Hungry Hippos, tug-of-war, and basketball.
Valley Cup began with a performance from the Pascack Valley Panthers Band.
The first competition was the relay, where students from each grade had to pull out 20 marshmallows from a box of Lucky Charms, then compete in a chair race, shake off post-its from their shirts, and race to the end of the gym by sliding on mattresses. The senior class won the relay, with the freshmen class close behind.
Next was the pizza tag. Students from each class held pizza boxes in their hands while trying to knock over the pizza boxes of their opponents. The senior class won the pizza tag with the juniors in second.
Then students competed in Hungry Hungry Hippos, where they laid on scooters while being pulled around by their teammates. The goal was to get the most balls in their box as possible. The senior class won by a landslide.
In the tug-of-war competition, students from each class stood on opposite sides of the rope, trying to pull their opponents across the line. The senior class beat the freshmen in the final.
For the last event of the day, students competed in a basketball tournament. The senior class also won the basketball competition, beating the junior class in the final.
Finally, three teachers competed against the winning senior class basketball team. The teachers won in an easy victory.
Once the points were totaled up from the events and spirit day points, the seniors were announced as the winners of the Valley Cup.
The council members and presidents from each grade shared their thoughts on the spirit week and Valley Cup.
